transience — An Exploration of Impermanence Through Sound

There is a quiet truth woven into every human experience:

Nothing remains unchanged.

Moments pass.

Seasons shift.

People evolve.

Memories fade and reform.

Even the things we try hardest to preserve eventually transform into something new.

It is within that fragile and beautiful reality that transience was born.

I am deeply excited to announce the upcoming release of my newest album, transience — a collection of acoustic classical works composed, performed, and recorded across more than a decade of creative life, spanning from 2011 to the present.

This project gathers together compositions written during profoundly different chapters of my life, yet connected through a common emotional and philosophical thread: impermanence.

Some of these works emerged during periods of peace and reflection. Others during uncertainty, transition, grief, longing, growth, or rediscovery.

Each piece captures a moment that no longer exists exactly as it once did — and yet somehow still echoes forward.

That is the essence of transience.

Musically, the album remains rooted in the acoustic classical tradition, emphasizing sincerity, atmosphere, melodic narrative, emotional texture, and contemplative pacing. These are not pieces written to overwhelm the listener with complexity or spectacle. Instead, they are intended to invite stillness, introspection, and emotional resonance.

Over the years, many of these works have been performed and recorded in different forms, carrying with them the imprint of the time and place from which they emerged. Bringing them together within a single collection has felt like assembling fragments of memory into a larger emotional landscape.

The title transience reflects more than impermanence alone.

It also speaks to the profound beauty of fleeting things.

A passing season. A fading light. A final conversation. A changing identity. A moment of silence between breaths.

Music has always felt uniquely capable of preserving these transient emotional states — not by freezing them permanently, but by allowing them to be experienced again, differently, each time we listen.

For those who have followed my compositional work over the years, this album represents both a retrospective and a continuation of that journey.

For new listeners, I hope transience offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the quieter dimensions of experience that often become lost beneath the pace of modern life.
